"I'm Too Sexy"
(by Right Said Fred)
I didn't post today's song because I actually think that about myself ~ I picked it for this line:
"I'm too sexy for my shirt."
Because I have officially completed one of the items on my list: the t-shirt refashion!!
I know that refashioning a t-shirt isn't something most people would put on a list of things to do before they die, but it was part of my effort to do more crafty things! Also, I wanted to put something on the list that I could actually accomplish soon {so I could start crossing things off!} Plus, by putting it on there, I would actually do it!
Anyways Jana sent me the link to a t-shirt refashion tutorial MONTHS ago, & I finally got the nerve to try it! I bought the shirt like the week after I got the link, but I've been afraid that I would ruin it. So it stayed on the hanger in my closet all. summer. long.
I had my sewing machine out last week, working on a project that I plan to blog about later. Since I had it out, I also took in a shirt that was a little too blousy. After stalling for days {yet leaving the sewing machine out, because I really did want to do the shirt refashion}, I finally got the guts to do it! I mean, seriously, the shirt cost about $3! What would it hurt if I ruined it?! I didn't do it exactly like the tutorial, because I decided I didn't want quite as much texture.
So, without further ado...Here's the shirt:
{please excuse the horrible pics ~ I've never claimed to be a photographer!}
& here I am wearing my newly refashioned shirt:
{please excuse my washed out face & awful hair ~ I've never claimed to be a model, either!}
& here's a little close-up of the texture detail:
Yay for online tutorials! Have you taken advantage of any lately?
