"Without You"

(by Reality LA)

First of all, I'd like to thank y'all for sticking with me lately. Now that scans are behind us, I'm hoping to sorta forget about cancer for awhile. We'll see how that goes...I feel like I usually do OK for most of the time between scans, but I'd like to do better than OK! Ya know? I'd like to not think about cancer & actually plan for a future with my husband. Because seriously, if he beats cancer & we grow old together, it would totally suck if I sat around wallowing in my fears & such all that time. Know what I mean? I want to just give it to God & not worry about it anymore. So if y'all know of some secret formula to letting go & not taking things back, I'd love to know it!

How 'bout we get back to some non-cancer-related posts, huh? There are several things that I plan on telling y'all about, but I'm waiting on some pictures. I have a guest blog or two coming up, too. And over the next week or so, I plan on crossing some things off my list!! I also have a few special editions of my Friends' Theme Songs in the works {'cuz I'm quirky like that!} So I promise there are much happier posts on the way!!

Today, my family is going my cousin Kirby's wedding!! ♥ He is the big brother of my beautiful cousin Kendra, and I love him bunches! I am SO incredibly happy for him & his beautiful bride Catherine! :)

We are currently at a hotel that we had to scramble to find at 2:30 am because the hotel where we had reserved a room considered us a "no show" & gave away our room. Always an adventure with me, huh?! For the record, there wasn't a single room in the entire town. We know that because we called all 10 or so of them. We thought we were going to have to drive another 40 minutes to an extended stay place, but we were able to find a suite 15 minutes away with two queens, one king & a fold-out couch. And we're paying a pretty penny for it. They're letting us have a late check-out, though, and the lady felt real bad that we were having to pay so much. I wish she had felt bad enough to reduce the rate, but she did give us permission to jump on the beds. That makes it all better! As you could probably guess, Cody was the only one who felt like jumping on a bed when we finally got to our room at 3:45 this morning.

On the way here, we stopped in Austin to visit Smurfette my little brother Ivar. I wish I could show you pictures that would explain the previous sentence, but I'm afraid you're going to have to wait. I was all excited that I remembered the cord to transfer pics from my camera to my laptop, but we're having a little Wi-Fi issue. :(

As for today's song ~ I told y'all it'd be another one from Reality LA music! If you didn't heed my advice last week, what are you waiting for? You totally need to download their music! It's free ~ so if you're crazy & don't like it, you haven't wasted any money! ;) I'll close with my favorite part:

Be my strength for I am weak
Be my joy and be my peace
You are my hope
You're all I need

Your grace has rescued me
Love has come and set me free

I didn't know they could do that at hotels! We have rolled in at such hours. I will remember that over the next couple weeks while we hop across the country. Good point in the first paragraph. I don't have a magic formula, but I think you are doing a great job with everything and are a true inspiration to many.
