"All I Can Say"

(by David Crowder*Band)

OK, so this song isn't actually on my iPod. But I have listened to it more than any other song this week, because I've been reading Angie Smith's blog, and it's the 1st song on her playlist. I remember hearing about her story on the radio last year, but I have just recently found the blog that she started after finding out that her baby girl would not be viable outside of the womb.

While the story is terribly tragic, it is also very inspiring. I can't even begin to comprehend what she has been through & continues to go through. But through reading her story, I have hope that I can face my challenges with my faith intact. Something she said from the moment they got the diagnosis is, "I think that my Jesus is the same as He was before I walked into this room."

There is something so incredibly earth-shaking when you're going about life & suddenly get a terrible diagnosis, lose someone you love, or (fill in the blank). Your life forever becomes divided into two parts: before & after. Though my circumstances are entirely different, I know that I can confidently agree with Angie.

Jesus is the same as He was before Chris was diagnosed with cancer.

I can't pretend to know what His plan is, and I'm not going to pretend that I'm always OK with that! But I know that God is with me, and He is the same yesterday, today & forever. He is able to strengthen me & give me peace, and He can do it for you, too...with whatever you're facing.
