"Scandal of Grace"
(by Hillsong United)
I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, so I won't even try to make excuses for not posting last weekend. I'm simply a failure at blogging these days. End of story.
Other than not blogging, my life has been filled with exciting things...
Silvie rolled 200,000 miles!!
I received a week's worth of yummy goodness from one of the guys at work! :)
Seriously, though those couple of things are quite exciting, I've actually had legitimately exciting things happen lately...
My amazing cousin Kirby & his beautiful wife Catherine had an overnight layover in Houston on the way home from a mission trip. We got to pick them up at the airport & have dinner with them before taking them to their hotel! We wanted them to experience something local, so we took them to Fuzzy's where we got a Big Texan Pizza! :)
In somewhat Kirby-related news, his sister, my beautiful cousin Kendra, had her baby!! I haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet, but I will certainly tell y'all about it when I do! :)
On the first day of summer break, we drove up to the lake and spent some time with Dan & Sheryl!
Then we went to Christopher's aunt's house yesterday. Another aunt was visiting from Arizona, so we had a little family gathering! Here is Christopher's dad with some of his siblings:
The kids hung out with some of Christopher's cousins' kids and their Uncle Alex:
{Our nephew Gabriel came after this picture was taken, but he was there, too! And he has grown a bunch, like Cody. He's crazy tall!}
Brandy & the twins came, too! Since we have all moved around quite a bit in the last 10 years, this was the first time all four of them have been together in a loooong time! Danielle & Desiree actually live in our old neighborhood now, which is also where the whole family lived when Chris & I started dating. It's kinda sad to know that we could live within walking distance if we still lived up there! :(
We won't end on a sad note, though...since babies are super cute, I'll end with pics of Desiree's baby! :)
I hope y'all have a wonderful week! ♥
