"With You"
(by Tricia Brock of Superchick)
"I will walk beside you
Good and bad times
Busk the streets for spare change
I'll hold the sign
Though the storms may blow down
All that we own
I will not be homeless
You are home
Through it all
I'll go down to the bottom with you
They can take it all away
But I'll be alright with you
As long as you are by my side
I'll be okay
I'll be alright
With you
Charge the gates with fury
Blaze through the lines
Do not fear for safety
Yours or mine
Walk the path untraveled
Faith be your guide
I will walk beside you
All our lives
Risk it all
I'll go through anything with you
They can take it all away
But I'll be alright with you
As long as you are in my life
I'll be okay
I'll be alright
With you"
I'm linking up with lovely Lauren at Living by Faith today. I have intended on joining up with "To Love Their Husbands Tuesdays" since she started the meme a month or so ago, but this is the first time I've actually done it! The idea is to go out of our way to show love to our husbands ~> above & beyond the norm. I tend to show love by taking care of things around the house, cooking dinner, etc. I always encourage young married couples to continue doing the little things they did to show each other love while they were dating. But honestly, I don't practice what I preach. I have good intentions but poor follow through. So, I've decided to be intentional about showing love to my mister in the ways that I used to do so many years ago.
So, the other day I realized that I would be passing right by my mister's office when I ran my errands. I decided to leave a little note on his car like I did just about every day when we were dating:
Now, technically, I didn't "go out of my way" (seeing as I was driving right by his workplace), but I made the plan ahead of time & actually followed through! Also, I meant to grab some cute paper from home before I left, but I forgot. Hence the "Errand" notepad I picked up at Old Navy. {I decided later that it was better that way, because back in the day we would write notes on whatever random piece of paper we could find!} Drop by Lauren's blog for links to other ladies' posts ~ they could give you some good ideas!
