"Land of the Living"

(by Enter the Worship Circle) Enter the Worship Circle - First Circle - Land of the Living

So, I played a little "hop through the Psalms" game today! It wasn't intentional, but when I logged into YouVersion (which I highly recommend) & looked at my reading plan, I became aware of some Psalms that I hadn't check off. Do you remember the post where I mentioned randomly skipped Psalms? Well, I found them in the reading plan right where they should've been! Apparently, there was a little glitch in the system that has now been fixed. So, I decided to read Psalms 4, 7, 15, 20, 27, 42 & other random ones that didn't have the little check mark beside them, & I'm so glad that I did! They're ALL really good ones; but Psalm 27 is my absolute favorite, and I remember being a little disappointed that I "had" to skip it before. {I may or not have read it out of rebellion back on January 12th, where I thought it should've been & where it IS, in fact, now!} Anyways, there are so many things that I love about this Psalm...

the reminder that there's no reason to be afraid, because the Lord is
my Light, my Salvation, my Fortress & my Protector

~

the inspiring assurance of David, who says, "Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident."

~

the desire to live in the presence of the Lord all the days of my life

~

the comfort that even if my father and mother abandon me,
the Lord will hold me close

~

the hope of seeing the Lord's goodness

~

the gentle instruction to wait patiently for the Lord
{it says this twice...gulp. I have a hard time with patience}

~

then, the encouragement from yesterday again to be courageous
{hmm...I think the Lord is trying to tell me something!}

I hope you have been blessed by God's Word today!

I will have to check out that radio station you mentioned...and I'm not very familiar with the Dallas area yet, but what is the name of the coffee shop you mentioned? Have you heard of Future of Forestry (Christian Indie Rock)? They're coming to our church out here and I'm super excited about it.
