"Enough"
(by Barlow Girl)
"Chorus:
All of You is more than enough for all of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You is more than enough
You are my supply
My breath of life
Still more awesome than I know
You are my reward
Worth living for
Still more awesome than I know
Chorus
You’re my sacrifice
Of greatest price
Still more awesome than I know
You’re my coming King
You're everything
Still more awesome than I know
Chorus..."
God is so good! I don't know if you remember tax day last year, but it was not a happy day for me. Actually, I was in a funk for about two weeks because of how much we had to pay. This year, things are much better! We owe 90% less than last year, so that's a HUGE difference! And the most exciting thing about it is the fact that God has provided enough money for us to pay on time & without penalties!! This is the first time in several years that we have not only been able to file without an extension, but we ALL that we need without putting any of it on a credit card!
God blessed us through a friend about a month ago, and we held onto the money in case we owed good ol' Uncle Sam. Unfortunately, we ended up having to pay a little over half of it towards van repairs. I was a little discouraged at that time, because I figured we would need more money for taxes. Then, we found out that we owed less than I estimated! Also, extra money came in from Chris playing the bass. And if you can believe this, we were able to pay our taxes without even touching our emergency fund!
Please don't take this post as me bragging about our financial state. Believe me, there is absolutely nothing to brag about. We still have debt that we acquired while Chris was starting his business, and I am not one bit proud of that. We have been on a path to financial freedom for the past 4 years or so, and it hasn't been easy. I just wanted to take a little time to boast about the goodness of the Lord!

also a comment about bragging - i worry about it too. on one hand i consider my readers my friends and you share good news with friends. on the other i worry about posting something about finances that might make someone else feel down on themselves.
