"Christmas Camel Song"

(by Marcus DeLoach)

Who knew such a song existed?! It seemed pretty perfect for this little post in my almost forgotten:

If you've seen my horribly done iPhone video on Instagram or Facebook (the one where I filmed my computer screen with a combination of regular photos & G+ Auto Awesome photos), then you're already aware of my latest little MIShap. I was finally able to get pictures off my camera, so what better story than this one to celebrate that?!

We were at my brother's for Thanksgiving yesterday, and we brought my camera so we could possibly get a family photo for Christmas cards. Wendy suggested going to their neighbor's farm and trying to get a picture with the camel.

A camel in our Christmas card photo? Yes, please!

As you'd guess, Humphrey wasn't the most cooperative...

He kept trying to eat the fence...

He turned to the wrong side (where you couldn't see his Santa hat)...

He tried to hide behind us for a little while. Then --the little tricksters that they are-- the donkey and camel conspired together to ruin the picture. I guess they thought it'd be funny if the donkey butt was in our picture while the camel photobombed us...

Then, both animals got a little too friendly. And my awesome sister-in-law managed to catch it all in pictures!! Cody & Chris were appalled at the quality of the video that I posted last night, so Chris made an animated gif for y'all (that is way better)...

I seriously thought the camel was only planning on nuzzling me a little like the donkey did! But no, he got ahold of my hair! He only pulled a few out, but he left his disgusting slobber behind! While a normal family could take Christmas photos, even with a camel, and they'd turn out fine...not so when I'm involved!

This is so funny!! I love the photo bomb picture even though the donkeys booty is in it. There are a lot of really good jokes to go along with that!!

I like the photo bomb one too! I don't think a normal family could have done it any better! You guys have it too easy now that your kids are at a cooperative age. So you have to mix it up a bit. Challenge yourself. Right?
