"It's On"
(by the cast of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam)
Oh. yes. I. did. I completely understand if I lose readers after this admission, but I totally watched Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam with my baby girl last night. And, seeing as that's all we've heard about on Disney this week, I thought this song was appropriate for today. I know. I'm lame & immature.
This week has been much calmer than the last! I had some down time & have been quite domestic! I had my sewing machine out & accomplished some things that I'll tell you about later (after I get some good pics). I haven't volunteered at either school yet, so this week wasn't as busy as some will be. I was set to go to the middle school one day last week, but another mom asked me to trade days with her. Then, the coordinator reworked the schedule ~ so instead of going in this week, I won't go until next week. That was a nice little reprieve, because I really needed to rest this week! I wasn't available when there was a need at the elementary school, so I'll try to go up there next time. I did go to MOPS for the first time since I had preschoolers! So far, I haven't done anything very "mentor-like" yet, because we were just getting to know each other at this meeting.
I don't know if you remember the post where I talked about how exhausted I was, but I found out why! Turns out I have B12 anemia. Who knew? When I've had blood work done throughout the years, I've always been told that I was slightly anemic. I always thought they meant that my iron was low. Well, apparently it's my B12 that is the problem. I should've gone to the doctor a long time ago, but I've been incredibly tired since we moved a year ago. I kept blaming it on that! On a side note, my baby girl had trouble with her B12 about five years ago, too. Her doctor tested her for several things & kept asking me if I'd ever had a problem with my B12. I told him about being anemic, but that wasn't the answer he was looking for. {Weird, huh? 'Cuz I think he should've asked if it was my iron or B12, don't you?} Anyways, Elly's levels were dangerously low for quite awhile. Fortunately, after a year or so, a bunch of tests, & several different supplements, she was able to maintain a healthy level.
Well, I'm off to do something fun with the kids! I hope y'all have a super great weekend!!
