"Human"
(by Christina Perri)
My week was pretty much the same as usual, so I don't have a whole lot to share...
Cody's track meet was cancelled because of the weather. I'm glad we didn't have to sit in the freezing cold for hours, but I'm bummed that Cody didn't get a chance to try for his 4:XX mile. He should have two more opportunities before season is over, though...
Speaking of Cody, he has been working on a big project this semester and presented it on Monday. I took a picture of him practicing it with me that morning and thought I'd share it with y'all since I don't have much else to share this week! :)
Speaking of projects, Elly had to take some photos for a project at school. She took my phone into her room and ended up with some great lighting! Though she only took a couple of goofy pics like this one, I thought I'd share anyways...
I found a bird nest in my front yard, and I was really intrigued by all of the nesting material that was used! In case you can't tell, there's duct tape, mesh, rope, batting, plastic (maybe a trash bag?), tinsel, and a bunch of twigs (of course)! So cool!
We had dinner with our friends Alex & Lauren on Friday night! Torchy's was super busy, so we had to eat outside on the patio. It was only moderately cold at first, but by the time we left, it was so cold that super warm-natured Cody (who was wearing a t-shirt and shorts) had to borrow one of Alex's police jackets!
I had a really great Saturday!! In addition to Laurien joining us for Cody's basketball game and a belated pizza & movie night, I also got to see my step-sister and niece. Kaylee had a dance competition at a school nearby, so I met up with them for a few hours. Tiff has posted video of Kaylee dancing before, but it was really neat to see her in person!
I chose today's song because it's the one that Kaylee used in her performance. It's not really my story to share, but I'll just say that she chose the song because of some challenges she has overcome. Seeing her dance so gracefully is truly a beautiful thing!
I suppose that's all...I hope y'all have a wonderful week! ♥

RYC- I laughed out loud about you feeling sorry for Woody and Buzz when they were neglected. I could totally see myself doing that. I have an attachment to those characters!
