"The Words I Would Say"

(by Sidewalk Prophets) The Words I Would Say - These Simple Truths

Some of the girls in my Hello Mornings group have been going through some trials, and I shared a bunch of scripture with them yesterday. I got to thinking that y'all may be encouraged by the Word as well. These are just a few of the many verses that have helped me trust God by reminding me of His provision and His character, that He is with me, that I shouldn't fear, and that He wants to do a beautiful work inside of me in the midst of various trials. I'm sure I have shared some of these before, and there are many, many more wonderful verses that go along with these. But for now, here you go...

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty; yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength..." (Habakkuk 3:17-19a)

The Lord will guide you always, He will satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11)

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, whose thoughts are fixed on You! (Isaiah 26:3)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him!” The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for Him. (Lamentations 3:21-25)

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. (Micah 7:7)

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him. (Nahum 1:7)

I am overcome with joy because of Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul. (Psalm 31:7)

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding & eternal weight of glory. (2 Corinthians 4:17)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)

I hope that at least one of these was encouraging to you today! If you have some verses to share, I'd love to read them! ♥
