"Love Will Find You"

(by The Museum) Love Will Find You - My Only Rescue

As I mentioned in my last post, I've had a productive week but haven't done anything too incredibly exciting. But today is National Coffee Day, and I'm livin' it up good! I met Laurien at Starbucks in the morning...

...my mister & I went on a coffee date in the afternoon! :)

...& tonight is our student ministry's first "Coffee Talk", which is a monthly event just for girls! We're having a sleepover at the church, and I'm hoping we'll get enough sleep to stay awake for worship service in the morning. I'll let you know how that goes... :)

OK, this is totally random, but I suppose you've come to expect that from me...Have you ever noticed that food tastes different outside than it does inside? I never noticed this until Marcie said it on Wednesday night. Lance & I (who were enjoying yummy baked goodness in the foyer at the time) promptly walked outside to prove her wrong test it out. What do you know? Our desserts didn't taste as sweet! How weird?! Let me know if you try it & get the same results!

On a sad note, Christopher's Grandma Babushka passed away this week. Between the two of us, we've lost three grandmas in less than a year (mine in December, and his other grandma in January). That sucks. Up until two years ago, all of his grandparents were still alive. Now he only has one grandfather left. It's so weird how that happens. Anyways, his family could certainly use your prayers.

In better news, Christopher is being ordained as an elder at our church tomorrow! Amy took a few pictures of Chris & me (for an email that went out to the church), so I thought I'd share a few with y'all:

I am loving today's song! My baby girl has been a fan of The Museum since they led worship at her camp last summer, but I hadn't really listened to their stuff until I got this song as a free download from Tooth & Nail/BEC this summer. My favorite line is, "But He sees inside your soul, where your past cannot define." ♥ I'll leave you with a few verses that this song brings to mind:

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me." (Psalm 139:7-10)

I hope you're having a super great weekend! ♥

Congrats to Butch!!

LOVE all of your pictures, you guys are such a sweet couple!

We miss y'all and shall hang out soon!

Glad that you took full advantage of coffee day. :) We completely missed that was today, but Dan did drink a few cups at church!
I love all the photos of you two!! Sorry to hear of the family loss... praying for Christopher's family. Since Heydon and I have been married we have lost 6 of our grandparents. It is so tough. Grandparents have such a special place in our hearts! Happy for Christopher's better news... congratulations!!

You guys look great. I heard from Jeremy about the elder thing, that's awesome. Sorry to hear about Chris's grandma. I grew up with only one grandfather and he is still alive. It was normal for me as a kid, but now that I'm grown I think of my children not having grandparents, which would be me not of having my parents and it would be terrible. Anyway, I'll stop rambling.
