Overall, this has been a great week! Community Groups started back up. I got to hang out with several friends. We had a good MOPS meeting on Friday. I got my flu shot somewhat successfully {I bled like crazy! Have you ever heard of that?! The nurse made me hang around for 10 minutes to make sure I was OK!} We celebrated our friend Michael's 30th birthday last night. And today, I went to a crop with my sister-in-law, and my kiddos got to hang out with their cousins! :)

I spent 4 hours & 45 very frustrating minutes dealing with incessantly beeping smoke alarms yesterday. It was a good chunk of my day that I will never get back, and I was not a happy camper! Apparently if you replace one battery, you have to replace them all. I didn't know that at first, or else it wouldn't have taken so long. After two trips to the store (for batteries), two trips to Kristi's (once to watch her boys & get a break from the noise + the other time to borrow a battery to avoid a 3rd trip to the store), about a hundred trips up and down the ladder (with no serious injuries!), & one trip to Dad's (to do him a favor ~ totally non-alarm related, but it accounts for about 45 minutes), the beeping finally stopped when Chris turned the power off & did something with one of the batteries. :/ On the bright side...I now know exactly how many smoke alarms I have, and I think I know how to handle this situation in the future!

I'm loving today's song right now! Elly bought the Passion: White Flag CD at camp this summer, but we've mostly just listened to her favorites. I really hadn't paid much attention to this song until the other day when I heard the last few words:

Jesus Christ has come, and love has won

There's just something about the way David Crowder delivers that line that makes my heart do a somersault. I don't know if that makes sense, but I don't know how else to describe it. Anyways, the whole song is good, and you should totally listen to it!

I hope y'all are having a super great weekend! ♥
