"Your Love is Strong"

(by Jon Foreman)

I'm not sure why I haven't really listened to Jon Foreman until recently. I've been a Switchfoot fan for a long time now, so it makes sense that I'd like their front man. My favorite part of this song is:

I look out the window
The birds are composing
Not a note is out of tune or out of place
I look at the meadow
And stare at the flowers
Better dressed than any girl on her wedding day
So why should I worry?
Why would I freak out?
God knows what I need
You know what I need

I can really relate to those words. I have definitely been guilty of worrying & freaking out! I love the NLT version of Luke 12:24-31. It talks about how much more valuable we are to God than the birds that He feeds, & how much more He cares for us than the flowers He clothes so beautifully. Yet, we worry about what we will eat & drink, and whether God will provide it for us. Then, verse 30 phrases it best when it says, "These things dominate the thoughts of most people, but your Father already knows your needs." It's kinda cool how one look out the window can set things into perspective!

This makes me want to type OMG. Ha ha, I never do that! I just needed to hear that verse and those words and coincidentally I just started listening to Jon Foreman TODAY and I have also been a Switchfoot fan since for the past 12 years.
